Hall and Oates- I Can Go for That

The Long Center 2nd Year Anniversary Party this past Saturday, March 27, has been the talk of the town. Everyone has been raving about Hall and Oates' performance and how fun all the after parties were.

The night began with a VIP party held in a tent that was intensely decorated with purple and white. Guests came dressed in their purple chic and brought their appetite to eat and dance. Ray Benson and Friends warmed up the crowd playing some of their hits. Their friends included Rick Trevino, Kat Edmundson and Matt Wilson.

As the general public arrived, both VIP and the public were ready to boogie to the tunes of 80s and 90s pop stars, Hall and Oates. They got people dancing in every crevice of the Dell Hall and came back for three encores. The crowd asked for more and thats what the band gave them!

After the concert, guests were welcome to any of the 5 after parties. In the tent, Asleep at the Wheel got people two stepping all over the light up dance floor after they ate their Roppolo's Pizza. The City Terrace had entertainers from Way 2 Much Entertainment keeping them company alongside Big Top Hot Dogs keeping their stomachs full. Up in the Kodosky lounge, 34th St. Catering had their famous Hack chicken salad and our favorite DJ in Austin, DJ Manny spun alongside Gooveline. Then, in the West Pencer Lounge, WC Clark played for guests snacking on The Cupcake Bar's purple cupcakes. Lastly, the Rollins theater had the sounds of the Matt Wilson Band. Guests never left the dance floor, well, maybe to get one of 34th St. Frito pies.

The whole night was a total success and we could not thank all our vendors enough. David Kurio blew us away, yet again with his florals. And Townsley Designs, came up with decor and lounge areas that people raved about all night long.

Take a walk down Memory Lane...

Today, Sarah and I went to the Memory Lane open house in Dripping Springs and had a great time meeting new vendors from all over Austin. We were taken on a tour of the facility and then treated to a yummy three course meal by Royal Fig Catering. All the courses were paired with a tasty wine from Winery on the Gruene. Sarah especially loved the strawberry Riesling. Then, we were treated to a pretty dessert bar by Stardust Pastry...the moonpie cupcake was to die for!! All the featured vendors gave speeches regarding their services. It's always such a great opportunity to meet new people in the event planning industry. Thank you to the following:

Similar to Nature's Point, they have an arbor as well for the wedding ceremony.

This venue also has bed and breakfast features so that the wedding party and families can stay on the grounds and relax. How relaxing does that pool look right now?

The Pavillion was wonderful. It has a built in stage, lighting, heating everywhere and is rain proof.

Premiere party rentals helped design the tablescape for this event and Dragonfly Designs printed the fab menus.

Hey Sarah! She couldn't help but double fist champagne and pose in front of the oh-so-delicious dessert bar. And yes, we were the first to attack this after lunch.

What's your Point, Nature?

Hello all. Sorry it's been a while since the last blog entry. Sarah and I recently took a field trip out to Nature's Point in Lago Vista to visit a wedding venue that our Bride, Molly Cason, will be having her ceremony and reception at on May 22, 2010. We had both never been out here and were blown away. It is a little confusing to get to but absolutely GORGEOUS. Just look at the pictures below and see what we mean.
Creative Consultants always loves visiting and working with new venues and are extremely excited about this one!

The arbor that Molly and Michael will be getting under...their chuppa is you will.

The lower deck where the band and dancing will take place. How could you not have a good time!
The top deck where the sit down dinner will be served over looking Lake Travis. Could you have asked for a more beautiful day??

Your view when you walk up from the ceremony area to the reception site. Breathtaking.
